Without doing those 2 things, the binoculars will still be in the daytime settings. We are here to make sure you are happy! For the ZOOM feature, there are 2 levels: 3.5X and 7X. You can switch between the 2 levels by pressing the ZOOM button. To turn ON the infrared goggles, please HOLD the power button for 3-4 seconds.

We have very very few defective units, therefore if your unit doesn't turn on, PLEASE check the polarity of the AA batteries if it's correct. We recommend using rechargeable batteries Eneloop PRO by Panasonic because they are UP TO 25% stronger than other regular AA batteries.
